Guardian Home Program
We here at the Pomsky Garden are committed to keeping all of our breeding dogs and litters in private loving homes instead of a traditional large kennel. We believe that kennel raised dogs do not have the socialization skills and temperament to be a good family dog. This allows us to continue to breed quality dogs and maintain the genetic quality and diversity needed for our program. We have a variety of dogs available at various points including older breeding dogs already accepted into our program and puppies that will grow up and replace these adult moms. We never want to get to a point where we have to have “Kennel Dogs” and will always choose a home for our dogs to get the best love and attention possible. And our solution is Guardian Homes!
Our Guardian home network of families get to have a Pomsky Garden dog and contribute to helping families acquire dogs for therapy work, family pets, and the occasional service dog. Guardian dogs live in their guardian home for their entire lifespan. This is not a foster program. The dog is the family pet and we retain breeding rights for a set period of time while they’re in the program. All Guardian homes will sign a contract outlining exactly what the agreement terms are. All Guardians must live a reasonable drive (Under two hours) to San Mateo, CA or Bellevue, WA and be willing to drive the dog to our home and vet.
